I bang on about the importance of using a hyaluronic acid serum in your routine so have been trialling a few over the last few months. One affordable item that jumped out is this Hydrating serum from L’Oréal.
What is L’Oréal Hydra Genius Serum?
It’s promoted as an Asian inspired skincare product that delivers moisture to the skin over a 72-hour period.
How did it work for me?
This is a lovely light texture that melts into the skin with no stickiness and sits beautifully under your normal every day moisturiser. Even though the directions say to replace with your normal moisturiser, I don’t think it’s hydrating enough and would only use as a serum. If you’re in your 20’s that may work but not if you’re of a certain vintage. I use this day and night as it can be used in conjunction with other acids and products to just give that extra boost.
How to use?
Each morning and evening apply one pump to cleansed skin and follow with the remainder of your skincare/makeup. It’s a super fresh light serum and is perfect for layering.
Do you need it?
Everyone needs hyaluronic acid, and this is a great drugstore option at 12.99euro – you can sometimes find it on offer at Boots too which is a bonus! If this is your first time trying hyaluronic acid, it’s a great affordable option.
What does it contain?
Aloe Water and the essential hyaluronic acid that you cannot be without. Plus, it’s suitable for all skin types.
